Technical tour to Fedje VTS

On the fourth day of the symposium, Thursday August 7th, delegates are invited to a tour of Fedje VTS. 

The Norwegian Coastal Administration is the national authority on Vessel Traffic Services in Norway, and in 1992 a VTS was established at Fedje to monitor traffic to and from StatoilHydro's oil facilities at Mongstad and Sture. Every year approximately 30.000 vessels are monitored and registered by Fedje VTS. 

The VTS is located on a small island community with a population of 600, only a few hours north of Bergen.

Kongsberg will sponsor the technical tour to Fedje VTS.

An express boat will leave Bergen shortly after the end of the technical sessions in the Grieg Hall. During the technical tour delegates will be served lunch on board, followed by a programme at Fedje.
