Welcome to the VTS Symposium 2008

In cooperation with IALA the Norwegian Coastal Administration welcomes you to the International Symposium on Vessel Traffic Services in 2008.

The 11th VTS Symposium will take place in the city of Bergen situated in the southwest of Norway. 

A Global Approach

Global VTS developments, e-navigation and innovations in VTS operations will be central themes. The role of VTS in the Arctic will be highlighted, taking into account future challenges for VTS operations in the High North. Recruitment, professional competency and on-going legal issues will also continue as symposium features.
