Venue

The 11th VTS Symposium will be held at the Grieg Hall in Bergen. The venue is situated a few minutes walking distance from the city centre.

The idea of building a grand concert hall was first raised by the composer Edvard Grieg in 1894. After nearly a century the building was finally finished in 1978, based on the winning architectural plans of Knud Munk. Since then it has become one of the cultural centres in Norway, and the venue for many national and international musical ventures. Following the development and expansion in 1996 with a new main auditorium with 1500 seat capability, it became a national centre for international congresses.

Peer Gynt salenConference facilities include a banquet, big screen, classroom, conference rooms, equipped office for course leaders, function rooms, max theatre seating capacity, microphone for users of tele-loop, projector and vide projectors, TV/conference room, and video conferencing.
